Beading – In this class, students will learn different beading techniques. Beading is defined as ornamentation with beads, also called beadwork. Beading is much more than that. It is using your imagination to create beautiful jewelry from natural stones. Beads come in all shapes, sizes and materials. The classes that we teach concentrate on beads created from natural stone, pearls, and minerals.

Cabochon cutting - In this class, students will learn how to use the equipment correctly and how to make a work of art. Cabochon is gemstone that is usually opaque and cut into ovals. Cabochons can be cut into any shape and made from any material, including manmade materials. Some of the materials that can be cut into cabochons are Agates, and Jaspers.

Chain making – In this class, the student will learn how to make chain using different techniques and different types of metals.
Dichroic Glass (fused glass) – In this class, the student will learn how use the equipment correctly and how to cut the dichroic glass. Dichroic glass is fired in a kiln where the different colors and layers of glass fuse together to make jewelry.

Earrings - In this class, student will learn to make a variety of earrings. The basic twisting and use of the wire is the same. The individual can learn how to use wire or an earring pin. You can also use wire. You either put the wire or the pin through the bead or learn to twist it to make something pretty. You can add another one or learn to work them off the main one. You can use chain and other things for the hanging.

Faceting Gemstones - In this class, the student will learn how to use the equipment correctly. The student will also learn how cut a gem quality gemstone into a faceted work of beauty.

Faceting Stone - What the student learned in the faceting class for gemstones can be used to cut common material such as common rocks and minerals such as jasper, tiger’s eye, etc. One use of faceting common stones is used in making signet rings.
Flint Knapping - In this class, the student will learn how to make arrowheads and blades; like those used by humans, before the metal age.
Fossil Study - In this class, students will learn how to indentify fossils
Gem Trees - In this class, students learn how to turn plain wire and assorted gemstones in the tree shaped works of art.

Intarsia - In this class, students learn how to use the faceting machine to facet small flat slices of gemstone material and design their own Intarsia masterpiece. Intarsia is similar to wood inlays of the Italian Renaissance. Intarsia today is the art of cutting small flat gemstones on the faceting machine. Intarsia can be of a simple design to elaborate designs. Then the pieces are glued together using special jewelry epoxy. The material that can be used in making intarsia pieces can range form colorful agates to opal.

Making Gift Boxes, origami - In this class, students will learn how to fold scrape paper and card stock into gift boxes and other shapes. The art of folding paper into objects (origami) comes from Japan.
Mineral Identification - In this class, students will learn how to indentify minerals in the natural form.
Pearl Knotting - In this class, the student learns how to knot stings of pearls. The individual will need knotting tweezers, bead tips, catch, and knotting thread. Most can be purchased at local hobby shops. In the class we learn how to attach the catch, how to make the knot and keep it tight. We also talk about what needs knotting as opposed to things that are too small or irregular.
Precious Metal Clay - In this class, the student learns how to use Precious Metal Clay (PMC) to make jewelry of any type. PMC is polymer clay that contains precious metal, such as silver. PMC can be used to make jewelry such as rings, and earrings.

Wirewrapping - In this class, the student will learn how to use different shaped wire to make jewelry of most any type. Two examples of wirewrapping that a student could learn how to make are rings, and pendants.
